Manca veramente poco...

Ormai manca poco...

...e anche la stampa comincia a parlarne!

Scherzo pre-matrimoniale a Kathrin

Scherzo bellissimo a Kathin, a seguito dei problemi relativi ai documenti matrimoniali è stata organizzata una teelfonata dalla curia di Milano...peccato che le richieste del sacerdote siano un po'strane...

Town of Trento-some Highlights

Nestled in the mountains, two hours from the Austrian border and in the valley of the Adige River, the town of Trento can be found. The city is famous for being the location of the Council of Trent. A highly developed, modern city Trento is also a bustling university town with lots to see and do.
Trento is a major financial, political, scientific and educational center in northern Italy, and a part of the richest region in the country, so not surprisingly it is well connected transportation-wise. The main train that operates within the city connects Verona to Bologna and the Brennero/Brenner-Munich lines.
There are also lines connecting to Padova and Venice that can be used by visitors. State and private buses also operate in the area making it easy to reach Trento from anywhere else in the region. Those planning to drive to Trento should take the SS47 Highway, which connects to the city of Padova, or the A22/E45, which connects the city to Innsbruck to the north through Bolzano and to Verona in the South.

A Snapshot of the TRENTINO Region... for any of you who would like to attach a few days in the area after the wedding!

Italy’s northernmost region, comprising the twin provinces of Trentino and Alto Adige. Ranging across both provinces are the rose-hued peaks of the Dolomites, forming part of the continent’s heartland, the Alps, wonderful area both in Summer and Winter.

Trentino-Alto Adige soars north from the shores of Lago di Garda to the Austrian and Swiss borders. Although united as one region on paper since they were ceded to Italy in the early 20th century, these two autonomous provinces are essentially as independent of each other as they are from the rest of the country. While they’re both formally trilingual (in Italian, German and the minority Ladin language), Trentino has always been Italian-speaking, whereas two-thirds of Alto Adige’s population speaks German as their first language.
As a result, you’ll encounter completely different cultural identities in each province
The highlights of the Trentino region are the Brenta Dolomites- a majestic group of peaks northwest of the region's capital, Trento and the Northern part of Lake Garda.

During the warmer months apples are harvested from the region’s orchards, and cheeses produced from its vivid green pastures. Both are staples in the region’s cuisine, along with its vineyards’ medal-winning wines and grappas that pack a punch.

Some Logistics, hope it helps organizing! ACCOMODATION

The 22nd June is a Friday, so it is a good excuse to take a day off work and have a long weekend.
Wedding should (but will be confirmed in official invites) start at 15,30 in church in Trento and then carry on, hopefully until we all drop to the floor later in the night, at a Winery 12 km north of Trento (we are organizing some transport to make the transfer easier for all and not a nuisance should the wine be too good).

Easier it is to arrive on Thursday evening, so that you have time to relax Friday morning and have a look at Trento too or go to the hairdressers or anything you'd like to do (we will provide you with useful hints later on). And then it is really up to you, whether you want to move on Saturday and see some other place in the surroundings, or stay until Sunday (some have told me already they will). We will stay until Sunday, not leaving, as we want to make the most out of our friends and family who decide to stay!

Wedding Dress Found!

Hey, decided I would write in English in the next posts so that all people joining us on our big day can follow our adventures prior to wedding.
Eventually I fund and decided for my dress. I know I can't say anything. and that it should all remain secret, but one thing I can tell you, it has been stressful for me. Too many people stressing me out saying I was late.
Anyway, managed to give not too much credit to these talks and now I'm so happy I took my time. Really happy about my choice, feel so me in it!
